UPDATE: There has been a lot of action regarding this situation over the last 48 hours. Police in CH and other areas are taking this situation very seriously. Frequent surveillance and even undercover agents have been put into place. This posting has received over 12k views and seems to be getting a lot of attention so the word is getting out all over the county. One reason that there have been so many views is that there may be activity from the suspect in other neighborhoods too, possibly as far away as Lakewood.
However, it should be stated that there was an error in that our initial reporting indicated that he has physically “lured” children. This was not based on any real reports, just community back-and-forth. He is not doubt dangerous, and to be taken very seriously but so far he has followed, made faces, spoken to young female children, but not actually gotten out of his car.
Reports seem to lean strongly to the fact that he is driving a silver Toyota smaller size SUV (possible a Rav4). Descriptions are mostly consistent that he is in his 30s to late 40s. White skin and spiky hair of a dark color. He seems to pull up to young girls and try to talk with them or to simply scare them. There have been some reports that he would pull up to a kid and if the kid turns around, he then turns around and follows her.
But, please if you hear or see anything, CALL THE POLICE!!! They are working very hard to keep us safe and need your help.
A white male driving a silver vehicle has been seen in a number of local communities, South Euclid, Mayfield Heights, and since the middle of this past week in the Heights. He has made many attempts to lure young girls both verbally and physically. His most recent activity seems to have been in Cleveland Heights. Police are well aware and actively patrolling these various areas and doing all that they can do to assist.
It is very important than anyone who sees a car matching this description and doing anything suspicious, immediately call 911. In these types of cases, the suspect is highly suspicious of adults and certainly police presence, so the best chance of apprehending such a criminal is through tips from community members. So please call even if you are not sure if the information that you are offering is valuable.

It’s a white male in his mid 30’s-mid 40’s. He has brown hair, which is spiky in the front. He is driving either a silver hatchback or suv. There is a Motorcars plate in the front, and a regular license plate in the back.

This past Shabbas my husband and I both noticed a man in a silver Chevy SUV (small verision) and new driving several times around University parkway and Churchill Blvd. He was suspicious looking and we both were uncomfortable seeing him drive around several times. Then this morning I read your post about this. He was wearing a white tank shirt, glasses, white male in late forties early fifties, with black/gray hair.

A man and vehicle of the same description was seen a few days ago in Aurora, he stopped to talk to two younger girls and a neighborhood parent came out and asked if they knew him, and he drove away.

Can Chaverim work with Shomrim and CH, UH, South Euclid and Beachwood Police to organize a neighborhood watch? The community should stand organized for such horrific news. BH we have askanim in our community with connections and resources to have a more organized approach. And of course everyone keep your eyes out. This guy is trolling in Lakewood (Ed:OH) now. He attempted to lure my 15 yr old on Saturday June 22nd at 4:20pm and followed her when she tried twice to go in a different direction! Lakewood police were called and a report has been filed.

Since the license plate is a temporary tag, if someone could get even just the last few letters/numbers, it should be very helpful to the police.

Tiffany is absolutely correct… This is a problem. Why can’t the police go to MotorCars and have hem run a report on all vehicles say that they sold in the last 60 days that are silver Honda or Toyota’s small SUV’s New or used? Then check out all of the vehicles, and the drivers and get copies of their Picture on their driver’s licenses from the BMV. I am certain that the witnesses could identify the driver if shown his picture. Good ol gumshoe investigations. Unfortunately, this approach may not match “police protocol”…. Very unfortunately, in the Leiby Kletzky A”H case, it took the chasidish father of the boys Cheder Rebbe to go to every store door to door on the avenues and suspected avenues that he thought the boy may have walked, and looked at every video surveillence camera, until he was able to locate the path the Leiby walked. Then the kidnapper was caught on the video surveillance of a car lot going into a dentist office. This investigation was not done by the police, as they said it was not in their protocol. Only after the Rebbe turned over what he found after days of investigation’s and having to wait a day for the stores to reopen, to the police, did the police investigate who came into the dentists office to pay a bill) and then tracked down the kidnapper. Unfortunately, by then the boy was killed. looking back 20/20, had the police subpeoned or just requested from the Store owners that very night, right away when he went missing, maybe Leiby would be alive today. But it is not in their investigative protocol to do that. Same here, are we going to wait for another Castro to hit our youngsters? be vigilent!! if you see this car with this description, get the plate or take a picture with your camera phone, call the police right away. CH police have an immediate response time. They get there in a flash. The fact that he is moving from eastside to westside (Lakewood), shows that he is determined to catch a child. He is a predator and must be stopped!

Do you really think the police haven’t done that yet? They’ve followed up on all leads given to them and done all the logical things, like calling Motorcars. Unfortunately some people in our community did not call the police when they spotted this guy. People need to call the police immediately if they spot suspicious behavior, rather than just calling people in the community to alert them.
