TLC – Recovery Program for Compulsive Eating
TLC (To Live with Choice) is a Torah based program of recovery for women dealing with compulsive eating and food addiction. Join us to learn the secrets of recovery and gain “chizuk” by learning the 13 Steps taught by Rebbetzin Moskowitz (Rabbi Ezriel Tauber’s daughter). Meetings are held every Tuesday night 8pm. We will be starting at 8:00pm instead of 7:30 pm from now on. The meeting will still be for 45 minutes so 8:00pm – 8:45pm. Looking for a State-of-Ohio (or ability to become) licensed female teacher with a background or certification in special education to work with a female, high school-aged student. The candidate will have experience working with students in the mid to upper grade levels. The candidate will be available during the school year for approximately 15/20 hours per week, from about 1:00-3:30/4:00 daily, to give one-on-one instruction to student during school hours. Familiarity with IEPs is desirable and our focus would be on practical math skills and life skills, and on reading comprehension. This would be a great opportunity for a qualified retired teacher or a qualified teacher with availability in the afternoons throughout the school year. Cleveland Heights-University Heights schools will likely delay tax increase request, make $5 million in cuts
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights schools likely will not place a tax increase on the November ballot.
Instead, the district plans to make $5 million in cuts, including the elimination of close to 50 full-time positions at a cost of $3.7 million. All of the positions, including at least 16 teaching jobs, are now vacant, and the district would not fill them.
